Oxford Schools Announces New Corporate Partnership
OXFORD, Mich.: Level One Bank, one of Oakland County’s largest community banks, has contributed $50,000 to Oxford Community Schools and Oxford High School where it will benefit the district’s focus on academics, athletics and the arts. The announcement was made by William C. Skilling, Ph.D. Superintendent, Oxford Community Schools. An opening ceremony will be held at the last home football game, Friday, October 19, 2012 at 7 p.m at the Oxford High School athletic field to acknowledge the gift.
The partnership between Level One Bank and Oxford Schools will entail a range of initiatives from financial education to community events, starting with tonight’s field donation.
“It has always been our goal to provide high-quality, challenging education to our students,” said Dr. Skilling. “Level One’s contribution will further ensure our priorities remain realities. Their generosity - to our school and our community - is valued greatly.”
“Having seen the dedication Oxford has for its students in focusing on academics, the arts and athletics, we felt compelled to join in their efforts. We clearly recognize a community interested and dedicated to the development of its students. As a locally based company, that interests us.” said Patrick J. Fehring, Level One Bank President & CEO. “Just five years ago, our board began to build a bank with ties to both community and business. We’re proud to play a role in what Oxford School is accomplishing in this region.”
