Android Pay FAQs
What is Android Pay?
Android Pay provides owners of Android devices the ability to use their Android phone to make in store or in-app payments using an eligible Level One Bank Visa debit card. Our personal and business debit cards are all compatible.
How to get the app
Search for the app on your phone. Android Pay is preloaded on many Android devices. If you don’t see it on your phone, you can download it from the Google Play Store. Android Pay works with devices that are OS 4.4 (or “Kit Kat”) and above, including Nexus 5 and above, Samsung Galaxy S6 and later, HTC One M8 and later and LG G2 and above.
How to add your Level One Bank debit card
To add your Level One Bank Visa debit card to Android Pay, open the app and touch the + sign. Position your Level One Bank card in the camera frame and take a picture. You will then be asked to enter the security code found on the back of your card and provide additional information as required. After Android Pay accepts your card, you will be asked to accept the Terms of Service. That’s it! If you’ve already added other cards to Android Pay, you can set your Level One Bank card as your default by clicking the card within the Android Pay app or by going to your Google Settings.

Is it a secure way to pay?
Your security is a top priority for Level One Bank. Visa and Android Pay help protect every transaction against fraud. When you make a payment using Android Pay and your Level One Bank card, Visa replaces your card details with a unique virtual account number. That way, your sensitive information stays private. Your account number is never shared with the merchant and is not even stored on your mobile device.
