Ann Arbor State Bank Merger

We are excited to announce we have completed the transaction between Ann Arbor State Bank and Level One Bank and our companies will soon operate under the name Level One Bank. The latest news and information regarding the transition can be found on this page. On March 23, 2020, the Ann Arbor State Bank signs will change to Level One Bank and our operating systems will combine. Until then, clients of both banks should continue to conduct banking at their normal branch locations. Ann Arbor State Bank clients will receive a Welcome Guide in the mail from Level One Bank towards the end of February that contains specific details about accounts and services, timelines to be aware of, and other important information. Why did Level One Bank and Ann Arbor State Bank decide to merge?

Level One Bank and Ann Arbor State Bank share similar values and banking philosophies with a foundation of excellent customer service, access to local decision making, and a commitment to our local communities. These similarities make the merger a natural fit for both banks. Together, we can offer our clients more convenient locations and a wider array of accounts and lending options to accommodate larger loan relationships.

When will the merger be complete?

Regulatory approval to finalize the merger was completed on January 02, 2020 and systems integration will be completed on March 23, 2020. 

Will Ann Arbor State Bank change its name?

Yes, Ann Arbor State Bank will become Level One Bank after the system conversion is complete on March 23, 2020.

If I'm an Ann Arbor State Bank client, can I bank at Level One Bank locations and vice versa?

Not yet. We will integrate our operating systems on March 23, 2020. Until then, continue to bank as usual at the branches you are accustomed to. After our systems have been integrated, clients will be able to use any Level One Bank or Ann Arbor State Bank location.

Will there be any changes to my deposit account?

Ann Arbor State Bank accounts are being evaluated for migration into the most appropriate Level One Bank account types. You will receive a Welcome Guide in the mail from Level One Bank towards the end of February with more specific information regarding your accounts and services. Most changes will be covered in the Welcome Guide. However, some changes may require additional communication and/or instruction that will be provided separately. 

There is absolutely no impact on any accounts of Level One Bank clients.

Will there be any changes to my loan?

Ann Arbor State Bank clients should continue to use their loan and/or make payments as they normally would with all terms of the loan agreement remaining in effect with our combined bank. You will receive a Welcome Guide in the mail from Level One Bank towards the end of February with more specific information regarding your loan. Most changes will be covered in the Welcome Guide. However, some changes may require additional communication and/or instruction that will be provided separately.

There is absolutely no impact on any loans of Level One Bank clients. 

Should I continue to make loan payments to Ann Arbor State Bank?

Yes, please continue to make the same payments to Ann Arbor State Bank as you do today. You will be notified of any changes to your loan payments well ahead of time.

Should I continue to use my Ann Arbor State Bank checks, online banking, telephone banking, bill payment and Debit/ATM cards?

Yes, until the integration is complete on March 23, 2020, you should continue to bank as usual with Ann Arbor State Bank products and services.

Will any of the three Ann Arbor State Bank offices close?

There are no plans to close any offices at this time.

How will I know if anything changes with my account(s)?

Any changes will be communicated to you ahead of time through a Welcome Guide you will receive in the mail from Level One Bank and/or through subsequent communications when applicable. Expect to receive the Welcome Guide towards the end of February.
