The role of Mortgage Loan Underwriter is responsible for underwriting residential and consumer loan applications. This position includes the review and appraisal of applications. Uses knowledge and independent judgment to determine assess risks when compared to applicable regulations.

Loan Operations Specialist
The responsibilities of the Loan Operations Specialist are to create, complete and correct commercial loan documentation mainly using the LaserPro system. The LOS will also create and update the loan files while ensuring they remain current and complete. The LOS will assist with the booking and reviewing of new loans on the Fiserv Premier Loan Accounting System. They will also monitor and process transactions on the entire loan portfolio. Professional interaction and approaching work with a team orientation with other Bank teams, including the lenders, is critical to ensure the loan process is successful.

Mortgage Loan Originator
The responsibilities of the Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) are to serve as the Bank’s representative for the sale of and customer consultation related to residential mortgage loans. The MLO will be responsible for generating new and refinance mortgage loan business. Working closely with other Bank team members, the MLO will receive internal referrals. Development of referral contacts, cold calling, network will be core responsibilities of building new business. The MLO will be responsible for the residential mortgage loan from application to closing.

Mortgage Loan Processor
The Loan Processor would be responsible for preparing and processing mortgage loan records, files and correspondence from application through closing; assuring compliance with bank, regulator and investor guidelines and customer services standards; communicating with customers, internal staff, counsel, title companies to respond to inquiries, resolve problems and obtain all necessary documentation required for each file.
Job Requirements:
- Process and prepare for closing retail mortgage loans (FHA/VA and conventional, purchase and refinance) under various loan programs in accordance with policies & procedures.
- Set up files and order all necessary exhibits for appraisals and credit reports, and review for accuracy and potential problems.
- Order title insurance, flood and tax certificates, reviewing for problems.
- Review all documents thoroughly before submission to underwriting.
- Obtain and review documents for acceptability against loan conditions.
- Communicate with the loan officer and coordinate with buyers, sellers, title companies, escrow agents and real estate agents to obtain additional documentation.
- Complete loan submissions and prepare file for closing.
- Update conversation log as needed.
- Communicate with banking center employees and other team members to encourage, educate and generate customer referrals.
